The Gloucestershire Local Intelligence Network (GLIN) is a forum through which research analysts and users from a wide range of public, private and voluntary organisations co-operate to meet three key aims:

Partnership Working - GLIN's Partner Agencies have the common objective of producing and/ or utilising high quality socio-economic research to aid local decision making. By facilitating communication and collaboration between partners, GLIN helps to produce efficient, comprehensive and effective research programmes in the county.

Improving Communication -  GLIN members are able to keep up to date with research issues and developments through our Quarterly Meetings, Sub-Groups, and The Researcher newsletter. By being aware of research that has or will be carried out GLIN members can pool resources, avoid duplication of work and identify areas where further research is needed.

Sharing Research & Expertise - GLIN also has an on-line resource through which our partners and the public can access the research, data and expertise available that is available through our partner agencies. In particular, our Research Archive allows direct access to research produced by GLIN members and our Useful Links has links to other useful websites.
